Road Trip Hanoi Bac Giang Lang Son Cao Bang and Ba Be 7 days

Day 1: Hanoi – Bac Giang – Son Dong. Khe Vang Trek (L,D).

7.00 AM: you will be met up with Lotussia Travel team at your hotel in Hanoi (please advise upon your confirmation). Depart for Bac Giang province. You travel north following the National Road # 1.

After about 1.5 hour drive, you arrive in Yen Dung where you make the first stop for visiting the Vinh Nghiem pagoda. After spending about a half hour for the site, you continue the road trip up to the northeast. You travel through Chu, the country's largest litchi producer, arriving in Son Dong around noon.

Lunch is provided in a local restaurant in town.

In the afternoon, enjoy about 2 hour trekking on a dirt road.

Check into a local guesthouse for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Khau Tron Trek. Travel to Lang Son (B,L).

You begin the trek by starting going uphill. You trek for about a hour and a half before arriving in Khau Tron summit where you stop for a short rest and take some picture.

Continue your hike going downhill to Khe Tron. The trek takes about a hour before you arrive in Khe Tron lake. This is a small lake is made up by the crossing of the two streams. The lake offers clear and cool water is great for a swim.

Car transfer to Lang Son.

Day 3: Lang Son – Cao Bang (L,D).

Spend the morning visiting Lang Son attractions including the Tam Thanh and Nhi Thanh grottoes. Then have lunch in town. In the afternoon, continue your road trip to Cao Bang via That Khe and Dong Khe. Some more stops may be made en route for you to visit Nung and Tay villages. Arriving in Cao Bang town in the late afternoon. Check into a local guesthouse for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Cao Bang – Ban Gioc waterfalls – Cao Bang (B,L,D).

Enjoy a scenic day trip north of Cao Bang to the beautiful Ban Gioc Waterfall on the Chinese border. This picturesque waterfall is 53 meters high and has an impressive span of 300 meters. The unique landscape includes limestone karst formations soaring from the verdant rice paddies of Tay, H’Mong and Dzao ethnic minority groups. The waterfall is more beautiful in summer time.

Lunch will be served in a local restaurant near the waterfall.

After lunch, we may have the opportunity to visit the Nguom Ngao Cavern before we driving back to our hotel in Cao Bang town.

Day 5: Cao Bang – Ba Be National Park. Boat trip. Homestay in village (B,L,D).

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Ba Be National Park. Upon arrival in Cho Ra Town, we will have lunch in local restaurant before taking a relaxing boat trip on the Nang River and entering the beautiful Ba Be Lake. We will cruise through the Puong Grottoe, a huge tunnel runs though mountain. The boat trip will take its end in Pac Ngoi, a village of Tay ethnic minority. Dinner and overnight in in stilt house.

Day 6: Hiking full day. Homestay in village (B,L,D).

A full day forest hike through primary forest to the remote H’mong village of Hin Dam. The going is tough through the forest but the views from the top of the top, the pristine forest flora, medicinal plants and the opportunity to visit a remote hill tribe settlement make it a rewarding experience. Total walking time of around 6 hours. Return to the village and spend the second night here.

Day 7: Ba Be National Park – Hanoi (B,L).

After breakfast we drive back to Hanoi. Lunch en route. Arrive in Hanoi in the afternoon. You will be dropped off at your hotel in Hanoi.
